I graduated from the University of Victoria and have been practicing law since 2001. Three Chairs Law Corporation was launched in 2020 adding the services of mediation and arbitration. My mediation training was through JIBC in 2016-18 and my arbitration training was through Herzing College in 2020.
My career prior to law was in commercial real estate sales and leasing. This turned out to be a good background to have in understanding clients’ needs in legal matters and in solving complex problems. My law experience is in general civil litigation or people fighting over money. This includes employment, administrative, construction, real property and estate disputes but not car accidents or family law. I have appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia as well as before numerous tribunals and arbitration panels. From 2011 to 2017 I was appointed by the British Columbia Real Estate Association as an instructor and content author for courses in real estate law. I have also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law.
Outside of the office, I enjoy family outings, growing food, and playing the ukulele. I am a recent vegan, a year-round cyclist and I run marathons (PB 3:35 2009 Las Vegas).
Daniel Mildenberger has been solving legal problems since 2001. In 2020 he started a small, innovative, technology-based practice called Three Chairs. The name is a metaphor for mediation, a service he is also trained to perform. Later in 2020 arbitration was added.
